On Saturday, July 16, the Hilo Medical Center Foundation was fortunate enough to have 27 Rotary members both from the Hilo Rotary Club and the South Hilo Rotary Club come out and spend their sweaty hard work on putting a primer coat of paint throughout the “River Cottage,” formerly known as the administrator’s cottage.
This is to work toward the goal of medical students and residents having a place to stay while doing their work and rotations in Hilo — all in the hope of retaining doctors to stay and live on our island.
I just want to send a heartfelt “thank you” to all of the special people/volunteers who came out on the 16th to help! This truly shows community helping community.
